About The Artist

The art of marbling has been around for over 500 years. Shirleigh Vinson has been marbling for over seven years. She graduated from the University of Utah in 1984 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Art. In 1985 she received a Certificate in Textiles where she initially learned about marbling.

She attended the 1995 International Marbler's Symposium in Baltimore, MD. Here she met with artists from around the world to share tips and secrets of marbling.
